Since October 2023, over 90% of schools in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed, leaving hundreds of thousands of children without education. These children face conflict, displacement, and trauma without the support that learning provides. Gaza cannot wait for rebuilding, that's why we are taking action to: Create Safe and Structured Learning Space, Restore Academic Continuity, and to Provide Integrated Psychosocial Support.
The Wesam Water Project is an on the ground initiative in Gaza, led by Wesam. It aims to provide necessary aid to families within the strip (mainly around the Nuseirat area). Past distributions have included water, food, and clothing for children. Most recently, the project has begun a partnership with Ibn Al-Haytham School, and has provided supplies, snacks, and has even held celebrations for the children there.
Since 2016, the Invisible Kids Academy has been a sanctuary of hope for children in Goma, the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Founded by local youth — Bush Sebar, Hassan Hakibab, Alpha Salim, and Yesse Bahame — the academy empowers children through their talents, providing access to education, food, and a safe space to grow and express themselves. Due to the ongoing genocide, we need $50,000 to rebuild!
In response to the war on Sudan, we launched the Khartoum Kitchen, we opened our first kitchen in Al Hitana, and we have proceeded to rapidly setup new kitchens across the Khartoum State area. With the hope of being able to feed as many hungry people as possible. We currently directly run 12 fully fledged Kitchens as well as 5 partner kitchens which we support by covering their rice needs.
